Amazed at how people think

First let me say that I am so happy about the New York marriage bill. Then comes the sobering realization that there are people in this country with the possibility of becoming leaders of many like Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) that does not believe that slavery happened. I know that sounds like a joke but Google her speech in regards to history. It will blow you mind. Also, Sarah Palin that preaches that family values are in danger of being destroyed by the LGBT community, but check out the family values that her daughters present. The sad part to me is there are people that follow them so blindly without realizing that there ideas are so dangerous. I recently had an exchange with someone in the LGBT community that actually believes that Palin might do a better job.

An example of a government becoming dangerous regarding there ideas about community purity, would be Hitler. An example of how religious, racial and sexual orientation intolerance can spiral into a dark spot in history very quickly.

I don’t believe anyone should have to give up anything except for intolerance for someone else’s happiness. So far to many of our young have perished do to the intolerance of others. It is time for us to take action and insure that we will not give up another precious life do to the intolerance of others.

A Project close to my heart

I am starting to work more with my blog.  I also have a very important new project as well. The new project is starting a Bible study/potential new church in our area. I am a gay male and I am also Messianic. I use the term Messianic because I believe the word Christian has been tarnished by a lot of these Bible thumping, ignorant, red neck, bigoted, hate filled Christians. Believe me I know, I am related to a lot of them.

I began going to a Messianic church. This is a church that still follows the Jewish traditions with the addition of the belief in Jesus (Yeshua)  as the Messiah. If you are a believer, you know that Jesus (Yeshua) was Jewish and he followed the Jewish Traditions. One of the major beliefs is that Shabbat (the Sabbath) is on Saturday and not Sunday. Also the days actually start at sundown the day before. This is just one of the many traditions and beliefs that I have found to be true. The only LGBT church in our area is a wonderful church, but it does not share that belief system. There are other churches that open themselves to the LGBT community but they follow the same Constantine-ian idea regarding Sunday as the Sabbath. “In 321 CE, while he was a Pagan sun-worshiper, the Emperor Constantine declared that Sunday was to be a day of rest throughout the Roman Empire:”.

Together we can reclaim our religious traditions and beliefs through study and prayer. I do not know all the answers. All that I know is that I am, who I am. That G_d loves me and I am one of his children.

Please contact me if you have any questions that I can help find the answer.
